Sam & Max 203: Night of the Raving Dead Review

Developer: Telltale Games Platform: PC Genre: SAM & MAX, WHAT PART OF THAT IS UNCLEAR? Warning: I spoil all! This game has zombies in it. Do I need to go on? I guess if you for some reason are not the zombie-obsessed type of person, more convincing is necessary. New York, and indeed the entire world is overrun by zombies. The zombies are by all accounts largely well behaved and aren’t really being too much of an inconvenience, but that doesn’t stop Sam and Max from feeling obligated

    Requesting Question Suggestions

This Thursday I will be traveling to a press event with Chris “Lefty” Brown of The Married Gamers. We are going to learn more about 1C’s plans for expansion into the North American market. Also, Chris was able to leverage his and Kelly’s (his wife and co-host) connections with Telltale Games to get us some inside access to the new Strong Bad game (coming for Wii and PC). We will be meeting at their offices on Friday. I couldn’t be more excited about having this chance for an inside look at th

    Video: Sam & Max Bloopers

From suffering the inability to enjoy Telltale's Sam & Max revival because of owning an aging Powerbook, to waiting nearly half a year for my signed, hardback edition of Surfin' the Highway to ship whilst continuing to order every shred of S&M swag available through the Telltale store, I believe that I am sufficiently excited about the impending Nintendo Wii release of Sam & Max: Season 1. If the wry wit contained within this bloopers reel is in any way demonstrative of the total product

Telltale Games is a video game developer based in San Rafael, California and founded in June 2004. It was created by a group of former LucasArts employees who had been working on Sam & Max Freelance Police, a sequel to the 1993 game Sam & Max Hit the Road, prior to its cancellation on March 3, 2004. The company's CEO is Dan Connors who heads the company alongside cofounder and CTO Kevin Bruner. The Telltale Games team have a large collective experience of working on notable adventure games, some of which include Grim Fandango, Monkey Island and Sam & Max.

On February 11, 2005 the company released their first game — Telltale Texas Hold'em, a poker card game simulator. The game was solely available through electronic distribution from Telltale's and others' websites. Later that month on February 22, 2005 it was announced that the company would also be developing an adventure game based on the intellectual property of Jeff Smith and his Bone comic book series. Bone is to be released gradually through electronic distribution in episodic chapters. The first episode, Bone: Out from Boneville, was released in September 2005 while the second episode, The Great Cow Race, was released in April 2006.

Closely following the release of the first Bone episode, Telltale Games announced that they would be creating a new Sam & Max computer game, which would be released in the same episodic fashion. In May 2006, Telltale announced that the Sam & Max episodes would be shorter, self-contained, and more frequent than the episodes of Bone, and would also be made available via the GameTap game distribution service. The first episode of Sam & Max: Season 1 was released in October 2006.

In November 2005, Ubisoft announced that Telltale was developing the next game for the popular CSI: Crime Scene Investigation television series. The game was released March 14, 2006.

On April 10, 2008, they announced a new episodic game series called Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, based on the online animated series from Homestarrunner.com, for the Nintendo WiiWare service and PC. The game has been developed in partnership with Videlectrix, a fictional company created by homestarrunner.com, and its first episode will be released in June 2008.
