Haemimont Games is a Bulgarian video game developer founded in September 1997 and based in Sofia. The company primarily concentrates on producing medieval and ancient history strategy games and has about 50 employees, making it Bulgaria's largest video game developer. Haemimont Games' first release was the real-time strategy Tzar: Burden of the Crown, which came out in 2000. Other Haemimont Games titles include: Celtic Kings: Rage of War (or Imperivm, released in October of 2002), and its sequels Celtic Kings: The Punic Wars (released in October 2003, is known in the U.S. as Nemesis of the Roman Empire, and as Imperivm II in Spain) and Imperivm III: The Great Battles of Rome (October 2004), which together have sold over 1,000,000 copies worldwide, as well as the fantasy RTS Rising Kingdoms (May 2005). In May 2006 the company released Glory of the Roman Empire (Imperivm Civitas), an empire-building simulation. The company's most recent title released in February 2008 is Imperium Romanum, another empire-building game set in the Roman era.
