I am constantly suprised by what some people do. This is the third time Nick and I have been on a shoot. However, in all our conversation I did not realise he works as a casual Fireman. Here are just a couple of the images we shot today at the Morisset Fire Station.

Status report, originally uploaded by Carlo Nicora. After some firefighters came out of the building, one of them start chatting with others that were outside. He did not seem to be preoccupied at all of the smoke coming out from the shaft, probably the fire was already gone at that moment. It was funny to see these three firefighters in front of a very well known luxury fashion shop!

Is it desperation?, originally uploaded by Carlo Nicora. When I saw her expression I was puzzled. She had a few words with the Incident Commander and then she headed away from the location. She seemed to have an air of desperation, even though nothing serious happened. I hope she was just lost in her thoughts, without anything wrong. There are times when I am able to freeze an expression I cannot decipher. This is one of those times.
More... Becoming modesty
The eldest is now back in the UK, after Berlin and Milan, and living in Hackney. Just around the corner, it seems, from one of the mad mullahs, so lots of police activity. The day before yesterday she managed to lock herself in the bathroom. It took 20 minutes and the Fire Brigade to release her: they were as surprised as we were to learn that the bathroom door had a deadlock. It makes you wonder about the previous tenants.
