It helps that there are lots of friendly folks around the place this week, to be sure! A bit of sea-watching first thing turned up an odd, and single Greater Scaup, winging into the Bay. Belleplain State Forest proved to be a most excellent place for an ornithologist to wander around the few hours after dawn this morning; a bit later on it very much came through for the herpetologist and lepidopterist as well, I might add.
